Materials 💎

WHAT IS FIG'S JEWELRY MADE OF?

  • FIG'S jewelry is made of 950 silver, 925 silver (sterling silver) and reycled silver. My supplier is French and has been around for 200 years! I also recycle my own scraps in the Bedrock collection.
  • The gemstones used in my jewelry come from trusted suppliers in the USA, India, and Lanzarote. Some of them come from other parts of the world when they cannot be mined locally (like larimar, for example).
    I choose each stone with care, trying to make the most responsible choices possible. Whenever I can, I select
    ethically certified stones, lab-created ones, or stones sourced from regulated regions. Mining is never without impact, so it’s not possible to be perfect, but I do my best to combine beauty, quality, and responsibility in every piece.

WHAT ARE LAB-GROWN SAPPHIRES AND EMERALDS?

Lab-grown sapphires and emeralds are gemstones created in a laboratory that possess the same chemical, physical, and optical properties as their natural counterparts. They are produced using advanced techniques, in our case the hydrothermal method, which replicates the natural geological conditions necessary for crystal formation.

Nutrients like aluminum oxide for sapphires or beryllium and aluminum for emeralds are dissolved in a specific solvent. This solution is then placed in a high-pressure, high-temperature chamber called an autoclave, where the nutrients form crystals over several weeks.

Advantages of Lab-Grown Sapphires and Emeralds:

  • Quality: Often clearer and without major inclusions compared to natural stones.
  • Ecology: Less environmental and social impact compared to mining.
  • Cost: Less expensive than natural stones, while retaining the same beauty and durability.
Sizes & measurements 📏

HOW DO I MEASURE MY RING SIZE?

The best, easiest and most precise way to mesure your finger is to use a ring sizer. You can buy one on Fig's eshop for 3€. Together with it, you'll receive a 3€ coupon code for your next order.

Here is an other way to mesure your finger (but less precise) : wrap a strip of paper or string around your finger, not too tightly or too loosely. Indicate with a small line the place where the 2 ends intersect, then measure the length found with a ruler. The measurement in millimeters is your finger size! (ex: 5cm = size 50)

HOW DO I MEASURE MY WRIST SIZE?

Unlike ring sizing, wrist measurement doesn't require extreme precision.

Here's a simple method for Fig's chains: wrap a string or paper band around your wrist snugly. Indicate with a small line the place where the two ends intersect, then measure the length found with a ruler. Add at least 2cm to accommodate for comfort (we don't recommend adding more than 4cm). This extra length ensures your bracelet won't feel too tight. Remember, a slightly longer chain is preferable to one that's too short.

Aim for a fit that feels secure without being overly loose, ensuring your bracelet stays comfortably in place.

HOW TO TAKE CARE OF MY JEWELRY?

  • Avoid leaving your jewelry in a damp place (the bathroom is therefore to be avoided...)
  • Store your jewelry in a small box if possible when you are not wearing it.
  • Avoid bringing them into contact with "chemical" products such as hydroalcoholic gel, unnatural household products, etc...
  • Wipe them from time to time with the small tissue you received in your order!
  • Brush them with a soft toothbrush (to avoid scratching them), some soap and clean water.

You can pay securely with your regular credit or debit card, or PayPal, depending on your preference.

For more flexibility, I also offer installment payments with Alma (in 2, 3, or 4 installments). With Alma, you can split your payment easily, without extra fees, making it lighter on your budget.

Shipping 📦

HOW IS MY ORDER PACKAGED?

Your order is placed in a box in the colors of FIG'S, then protected with tissue paper. Everything is sent in a recyclable cardboard shipping box, with a care note, cleaning cloth and a thank you note.

WHAT ARE THE DELIVERY TIMES?

Your order is usually dispatched within 2 to 7 days. If FIG'S experiences an unusual influx, the new delivery times will be indicated on the homepage. Once your order has been entrusted to the carrier, it should arrive within 3 to 4 working days (France) and within 7 to 10 days (EU, UK, Switzerland).

HOW MUCH DOES SHIPPING COST?

France: Free from 150€. Otherwise, 5€ home / 4€ pickup point.
EU: Free from 180€. Otherwise, 8€ (pickup from 5–6€ in some countries).
Rest of the world: Free from 250€. Between 150€–250€, shipping is 8€. Otherwise, 15€.
Orders under 6€ (like ring sizers): sent with cheaper letter rate.

WHERE DOES FIG'S SHIP TO?

Fig's ships worldwide (except the few destinations below), with varying delivery fees depending on the destination.

Given the current situation (embargo or geopolitical context) our carrier doesn't allow us to ship to Afghanistan, Somalia, Yemen, Niger, South Sudan, Syria, North Korea, Russia, Belarus, Crimea, Sevastopol.
We also temporarily do not ship to the United States due to new tax and customs regulations.

HOW TO LOCATE MY SHIPMENT?

Once your order is shipped, you will receive an email from me with your tracking number. You should also receive updates from the French carrier and, once it reaches your country, from your local postal service.

With the tracking number I provide, you can track your order directly on your local postal service’s website once it has arrived in your country.

If you haven’t received any shipping information, please contact me. Sometimes it’s due to a mistyped email address, but it could also be another issue, I’ll help you sort it out.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO RETURN OR EXCHANGE MY ORDER?

You can return jewelry that is neither custom-made nor one-of-a-kind (so you cannot return rings, personalized orders, custom creations, or any unique/limited pieces). However, you must notify me within 10 days of receipt, and return the order within 14 days.

At your convenience, either you will be refunded to the account that was used for the purchase, or you can choose a jewel of the same value on the site (i.e. either a refund or an exchange).

MY JEWELRY IS DEFECTIVE, WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Each piece is handmade, so no two are exactly alike. I do my best to match the pictures, but stones and handcrafting can create small variations.

If you notice a major issue, like: a broken stone, a clasp that doesn’t work, or a soldering problem that makes the piece weak, please email me as soon as you receive it. I’ll repair or replace it free of charge if the issue comes from the making.

Damage caused by normal wear, accidents, or misuse (for example, breaking a chain after receiving it in perfect condition) is not covered. Minor differences from the pictures or natural inclusions in stones, like labradorite or moonstone, are also not considered defects.

For the 10% code offered to new subscribers of our newsletter: This code is valid for one-time use per person and exclusively for new subscribers. For the ring sizer discount code: When you purchase a ring sizer, you will receive a 3€ discount code for your next order. This code can only be used with the same email that placed the ring sizer order. If the ring sizer order is canceled or refunded, the discount code is automatically canceled and cannot be used. HOW CAN I REQUEST A CUSTOM PIECE?

Simply send me a message to tell me what you have in mind. We’ll discuss together what’s possible within your budget, timeframe, and my abilities.

HOW LONG DOES A CUSTOM ORDER TAKE?

The timeline can vary a lot depending on your project:

  • If it involves stones I don’t have in stock, expect at least 3 weeks for the stones to arrive.
  • If I need silver that’s not in stock, it usually adds about 5 days.
  • The making itself generally takes about 1 week (sometimes more if I’m very busy).
  • The design phase depends mostly on you: it can be as quick as 3 days or take several weeks, depending on how fast decisions are made after I send sketches and proposals.
  • Shipping can take anywhere from 2 to 15 days, depending on your location.

Overall, a custom piece can take anywhere from 10 days to 2 months. Feel free to already try and estimate it yourself roughly based on these informations and whether stones are needed, where you live, and how clear your idea already is.

HOW MUCH WILL MY CUSTOM PIECE COST?

I’ll always make sure your custom piece fits your budget. If your idea is too complex for the amount you want to spend, I’ll let you know. On the other hand, if I see that your design could be made for less than your budget, I’ll lower the price so you only pay what it’s really worth.

Once I understand your project, I’ll give you an average price. When the design is finalized, I’ll provide a precise quote for you to approve and sign, which will stay within the range we discussed.

Keep in mind:

  • Details and stones make a piece more expensive.
  • Smaller, simpler designs are more affordable.
  • Materials have a big impact: silver and quartz are much cheaper than diamond and 18k gold.

Custom orders can range from 60€ to several thousand euros, depending on design, materials, and complexity. Most of my past custom projects have fallen between 100€ and 300€ per piece.


CAN I MAKE CHANGES TO MY CUSTOM ORDER?

During the design stage, you can request as many changes as you like, as long as they are within my skills. Once we’ve agreed on a final design and I’ve started making the piece, changes are generally no longer possible (except in rare cases where small adjustments can be made without adding significant work or wasting materials).

CAN I RETURN A CUSTOM ORDER?

Custom pieces are made just for you, so they cannot be returned or exchanged. Of course, if there is a defect from the making (for example, a clasp that doesn’t work properly), I’ll repair or replace it at no cost.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A CUSTOM PIECE AND A ONE-OF-A-KIND PIECE?

  • Custom piece are designed specifically for you, based on your wishes and budget.
  • One-of-a-kind piece are designed and created by me in advance, available to purchase directly (without modifications).

CAN I SEND MY ORDER AS A GIFT?

Yes! When placing your order, you can check the “Sending a gift” box in your cart. This lets me know not to include a thank-you card or anything that might reveal the purchase.

You can also use this option to request a personalized note for the recipient. Just write what you’d like me to include, and I’ll add it to the package!
